How to make VEGAN Rice Krispie Treats!

Who else was obsessed with rice krispie bars when they were little.....or yesterday.....


I ate these for lunch because: nausea


But I made them and they are way healthier!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 5-6 cups plain puffed rice cereal (Erewhon brand is good)

  • 1 package (10 oz) vegan marshmellows

  • 2 TBSP coconut oil

  • 2 TBSP Mykonos vegan butter (I got mine from MYLK guys online but check your health food section)


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Measure cereal and pour into large mixing bowl

  2. In a small sauce pan melt marshmallows, oil and butter, stir frequently over low - med heat

The butter marshmellow mixture won't melt like the old original way like with the old stick of margarine....thank God.


But it works.


Melt it as best you can.

Pour over cereal, wet your fingers with cold water and mix with your hands.


You may need to add a little more coconut oil in the pan (I had to add about 1 tsp)


Pour into a pan, add more water to your fingers and pat them down.
