The way you want to eat is how you are meant to eat.
You don't even need anyone to tell you how to do it.
What's so funny about human design and why people love it is because it gives you permission to do what you want to do.
Instead of looking around, asking, can I? is it ok? well she's doing that so it must be right or good so I can too.
When you simply eat how it feels most natural to you, you will hit the target.
No one really wants to eat processed fake foods. That's conditioning or emotions that aren't dealt with or it's marketing done by people who are paid to make you and your kids want to eat their products, get you addicted so you keep going back.
Feel into this:
In your most ideal day, what would you be doing? eating? moving like?
Your instincts are right. Your intuition is right.
What you naturally fall into is right FOR YOU.
As I am getting closer and closer to my best feeling body again after having Dash I can't even tell you how hard my mind has been trying to LIE to me telling me I have to do more, work harder, be better in order to lose the rest of this weight.
But I'm so happy that I'm solid in my beliefs now, that it's laughable the things that my mind wants to get me to believe. But when you aren't in the body you want, you feel vulnerable, sometimes lost, sometimes out of control and you listen to a voice that isn't true. You know it isn't true because it feels really really bad.
I could do a few days of juicing. I could put myself on a 'routine' or schedule. I could do my own reset, but I'm not. Here's why.
As I have evolved in my health and relationship with my body and food I have moved way beyond thinking that this is about calories in and out, or about how long or what kind of workouts I do, or how perfect I eat.
It's not.
Those things have their place and get to be looked at. But after awhile I simply realized, I've GOT THIS.
Food doesn't have power over me, it's FOR ME. It works for me, it works with me, it's there for me, it's my friend. It has massively supported me in my life and gotten me to this place where I deeply trust it and rely on it and so I eat what is true and real and what works.
AND
Within that relationship there is so much room and space for freedom.
I realized that as I lose the rest of this weight and come back home to my best feeling body I literally CAN'T make this hard. The struggle is the lie, the feeling or thoughts that you have to make it hard, you have to give up a lot, you have to feel bad in the process so you deserve something is not true.
What is most natural for me, is how I eat. Lots of fruit, grazing through the day, salads, cooked veggies and at night, my hunger is actually highest.
And at the end of the day, i want to eat what I want. I make better choices not 'the right' choices because there are no right choices, just what is right for you in the moment.
I love eating vegan ice cream, I love eating bananas and cool whip and gluten free graham crackers. I love eating cereal at night ( you know this if you are on my email list) And who cares? I still get to have what I want.
Make better choices.
Listen to your body.
Don't believe in the lies that this is actually AT ALL hard.
Little bit by little bit you learn about foods, you add some, you subtract some, and you find YOUR way.
I promise your body knows how to do this, I promise you will thrive on plants (and whatever else you want)
Here's an exercise you can do:
Write out your favorite foods, your way of eating that feels so easy and like you.
Do you like a big breakfast? Do you like a light lunch? Do you like to and feel good when you snack or aren't you really that hungry? Do you like eating more at night? consistently? inconsistently?
When you put the real stuff in, what else do you love? Do you love pasta? Are you allowing yourself to eat it in a way that supports your body?
Do you love ice cream? Is there a healthier kind you can have?
Do you love grapes? apples? bananas? are you letting yourself have what you want?
No more shoulds. What do you WANT to eat?
Of course there is a place for learning and understanding and growing. Of course there are times when the best feeling decision is to clean it all up entirely (like a reset).
It's up to you, it's there for you in a way that works for you. That is freedom. That is how you get to feel in your body and with your relationship with food.
Pretty amazing.
